Instagym is built to help you turn saved Instagram workout Reels into real workouts you actually do — and that starts with how we handle your data.
We collect only what's necessary to make the app work, build your workouts, and help you stay consistent over time.
What We Collect
Account information
Basic details such as your email, name, and login method (like Sign in with Apple) so you can securely access your account and keep your workouts in sync across devices.
Workout data
Information about the workouts you create from Reels, including exercise breakdowns, sets, reps, and completion history. This data is used to power your training plan, streaks, and progress tracking.
Content you import
Links and limited metadata from the Instagram Reels you share to Instagym so we can generate your workouts and show preview clips inside the app.
Usage signals
Anonymous activity data to improve performance, prevent abuse, and understand which features are helpful. We use this to make Instagym better, not to build advertising profiles.
What We Don't Do
- We don't sell your personal data
- We don't track you across other apps or websites for advertising
- We don't use your workout data to build ad profiles
- We don't collect more than we need to run Instagym
- We don't share your workout history with third parties without your consent
Your activity in Instagym stays within Instagym unless you explicitly choose to share it.
Third-Party Services
Instagym may use trusted third-party services (like analytics, crash reporting, or authentication providers) to keep the app reliable and secure. These services only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their functions on our behalf and are required to protect your information.
Subscriptions & Payments
Instagym uses Apple’s in-app purchase system for subscriptions. We do not store your full payment details on our servers. Billing and payment information are handled by Apple in accordance with their own privacy and security practices.
You're in Control
You can:
- Edit your profile information at any time
- Delete workouts from your library
- Manage permissions you have granted to Instagym
- Request account deletion from within the app
If you delete your account, your personal data is removed or anonymized according to our data retention policy, subject to any legal obligations we may have.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit, secure authentication, and access controls. While no system can be perfectly secure, we work continuously to keep Instagym safe and reliable.
